A squirrel lies dead on a limestone slab, its painted outline mimicking a crime-scene marking – a pistol clutched in its paw. Kolodko called the piece "Ars longa, vita brevis" (Art endures, life is short): the artwork outlasts its creator, who will be forgotten after death.

The miniature quotes Maurizio Cattelan’s installation «Bidibidobidiboo» (1996), in which a taxidermied squirrel takes its own life at a tiny kitchen table — Cattelan’s signature move of loading stuffed animals with human gestures and emotions.

Kolodko placed his ’crime scene’ squirrel with a double wink directly behind the life-size Columbo statue on Falk Miksa utca — even the famous TV detective would have his work cut out on this case.
