A pair of bronze over-ear headphones hangs on the railing of the Müpa's grand staircase – and indeed, music plays continuously whenever you get close. The sound doesn't come from the solid bronze object itself, but from a small speaker built into the railing right below it.

Like several other Kolodko figures, "Füles" is an official commission: Müpa itself commissioned the statue in 2023 for its 18th anniversary. The 15 curated pieces of music come from artists who have performed at Müpa, including Beethoven's Piano Concerto in C major with Tamás Vásáry, Richard Strauss' "Four Last Songs" with Andrea Rost, and recordings by Bea Palya and Avishai Cohen. "Füles" means "eared" in Hungarian – and is also the name of a beloved Hungarian cartoon rabbit.
