Leo, the shy circus lion, and his trainer Fred sit by their little circus wagon on the Danube bank. The pair come from the beloved Hungarian animated series "Leó és Fred" (Pannónia Filmstúdió Kecskemét) – a quiet, cliché-free friendship story told entirely without dialogue. The first season was made in 1984–1986 and released as a feature film in 1987, with a second season following in 1993.

Installed in June 2026 on the amphitheatre steps at Kopaszi-gát, near where in 1896 Károly Somossy ("Emperor of the Night") briefly built Europe's largest entertainment district – "Konstantinápoly Budapesten", complete with a replica of Hagia Sophia, bankrupt again within half a year. Fred's features bear a resemblance to Somossy himself.

AddressOn the amphitheatre steps at Kopaszi-gát, near the VakVarjú Beach Bistro.
